by
Office of State History

The New York State Museum is in the process of creating a webpage dedicated to New York State’s Commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. The webpage will contain events, resources, and information about New York’s Commemoration, highlighting not just the role of New York during the Revolutionary War, but also the subsequent 250 years of complex struggle towards attempting to realize the ideals of our nation’s founding principles. The webpage will also include news and information related to the America250 national commemoration as well as links to local and regional organizations undertaking 250th or related planning.

If your organization is planning any events or has any other relevant information related to New York’s role in the Revolution or the subsequent struggle over the concepts of civil rights, liberty, and equality, please contact the Office of State History at statehistory@nysed.gov.
