These dust-covered shoes were worn by Kayla Bergeron as she evacuated the North Tower. At the time of the attacks, Kayla was on the 68th floor of the North Tower.

Aon sign fragment
The sign fragment is from an Aon office in the South Tower. Aon Corporation occupied floors 92, 99, and 100, and lost 175 employees on September 11.

Motorola StarTAC cell phone
Following the collapse of the towers, FDNY Lieutenant Thomas Frizalone found Dan Heldridge's still-functioning StarTAC phone on the roof of the Deutsche Bank building across Liberty Street from the World Trade Center.

Sign
Each of the Twin Towers contained three emergency stairwells located around the building's center core. This sign came from Stairwell B in one of the towers.
